Shenseea continues to make waves.

After collaborating with some of music’s biggest names, the Jamaica-born dancehall singer has returned with Alpha, her much-anticipated debut album under Interscope. The project delivers 14 tracks including “Blessed” featuring Tyga, “Lick” with Megan Thee Stallion, and the recently released 21 Savage-assisted “R U THAT.”

“This album [Alpha] is me experimenting,” Shenseea told Zane Lowe last week. “So yes, there’s a vibe like this that you’ve never heard, but there are also other songs that you’ve never heard a vibe like that either. So I feel like what I’m doing now with this album is like, I’m going to put it out there and then I’m going to see what people reaction. If they react to everything, then trust me, they beat. Shoot, you going to have to put me in every single category, which is my aim. I want them to know that I’m versatile and also accept it. Not wanting me to stick to one genre or one style of music.”

Alpha includes guest appearances by Offset, Sean Paul, and Beenie Man, as well as the single “Deserve It,” which Shenseea performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month. You can stream the album now on all major platforms.

As far as the new single “Deserve It, Shenseea told Lowe she wanted to make listeners feel young again with a light and bubbly vibe.

“I feel like it’s perfect. It’s like, give you bubble gum, butterflies, kid; makes you feel like a kid if you’re not a kid; colorful, good energy. … I feel like I just unlocked a different side of my voice, which is a girlier, kid-type, because I’ve never done a song like this, to be honest. I’ve never done something like that. But I feel like that’s why I can’t stop listening to it. It’s so new to hear from myself.”
